We continue to meet at the Erie Yacht Club. We are back upstairs! Meetings begin at 6:00 pm with a social hour and dinner, followed by our program/speaker.

Marcus Atkinson, Bachelor of Business Administration
Marcus Atkinson is a prominent community leader, media producer, and consultant in Erie, Pennsylvania, widely recognized for his work in social equity, nonprofit development, and storytelling through multimedia platforms. Marcus S. Atkinson is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Clayton State University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he spent over a decade in political and community organizing, experiences that shaped his commitment to bridging racial, cultural, and economic divides. He is the Managing Partner of M. Atkinson & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), nonprofit capacity building, and minority business development. Additionally, he owns BlaXcess Media, a production company focused on elevating diverse voices and community narratives. Marcus was chosen to lead a transition team as the center looks for new leadership following the unexpected passing of Executive Director James Sherrod. Atkinson will oversee the center’s programs and community initiatives while the board of directors begins a formal search for the next executive director.
