Our February 2018 Meeting:
PLEASE NOTE: Due to scheduling conflicts our February meeting is being held on January 31, 2018.

Meetings are held at the Erie Yacht Club in Erie PA and begin at 6:00 pm with a social hour and dinner, followed by our program/speaker. Enter from West 6th Street on Kahkwa Blvd, North to Virginia Ave, and turn right on Virginia Ave to the Yacht Club. Tell the attendant you are with the Torch Club.

"Gerrymandering, How it Affects Pennsylvanians and Why You Should Care"

Our presenter for this evening is Karen Eisenhart Ph.D. Education: B.A in Biology at Cornell University; M.A & Ph.D at University of Colorado Boulder - Geography, Biogeography, Environmental Studies. Karen is a volunteer speaker for Fair Districts PA.


Karen is an associate professor at Edinboro University in the Geosciences department.


Her presentation will be on Gerrymandering and how it affects Pennsylvanianians. Erie is one of the PA counties most harmed by gerrymandering. Instead of being the primary focus of one Congressional District, we're an afterthought in two. District 5 stretches halfway across the state.
