Our March 6th Meeting will be at the Erie Yacht Club


This month's meeting will be held at the Erie Yacht Club and begin at 6:00 pm with a social hour and dinner, followed by our program/speaker.

Our Dinner Menu:
Dinner Menu: This will be a plate dinner with your choice of Beef Tips and Gravy on Noodles, Baked Tilapia with White Sauce, or Chicken Simon & Garfunkle. All with Au Gratin Potatoes, Zucchini and Squash, Salad, Rolls, Chocolate Layer Cake. $25 per meal, choice must be made with RSVP.

Mark Squeglia B.A., Information Technology, General Electric Co., Erie, Pennsylvania

Our presenter for this evening is Mark Squeglia, a graduate of Gannon College in 1979 with a BA in History, Mark has worked for Hammermill Paper Company, Erie Insurance, Presque Isle Insurance and currently General Electric in the field of Information Technology.

His topic will be "The Berlin Airlift of 1948"

Mark was a member of the Perry 200 Commission and has been a frequent lecturer at the Jefferson Society since 2010.

While Mark's interest is in all periods of History, his main focus and specialty is on Military History, specifically World War II History.

Mark Squeglia has been a lifelong resident of Erie, PA. Mark is married to Lynn (Simonellli) and they have 3 sons, Paul, Christopher and Anthony.
