Jennie Hagerty
Since 2017, Jennie Hagerty has been the executive director for the Mercy Center for Women, a nonprofit in Erie whose mission is to provide transitional housing and support services to women and their children who are homeless. Prior to that role, she was the director of advancement at Saint Jude the Apostle Church and Saint Peter Cathedral. Jennie graduated from Gannon University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management degree. In 2018 the American Fundraising Professionals Northwester PA Chapter awarded her the 2018 Outstanding Fundraising Professional of the Year. Jennie has also been named the 2024 Nonprofit Excellence Awards CEO of the Year.Topic:

The Mercy Center for Women provides a safe, supportive home while helping those in need rebuild their lives after homelessness and other challenges including domestic abuse, behavioral health issues, and/or addiction. The Mercy Center can house as many as 30-34 women and children. Since 1994, it has served more than 4,000 individuals.
The Mercy Center's dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and supporters work tirelessly to create a nurturing environment where those in need can find solace, healing, and the tools they need to build a brighter future.
